Authentic Sicilian Summer/ "*Sagra" of Granita

* SAGRA =  In Italy, a Sagra is a local festival often dedicated to some specific local food, and the name of the sagra includes that food.

Sicilian "Granita" ( do not confuse it with sorbet or Italian ice :) ) is a staple of Sicilian summers. Every summer day in Sicily revolves around the refreshing "Granita break ." For breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner! One of the funniest memory of my childhood in Sicily is of tourists overlooking the table where I was sitting with my family and having a light bulb moment. They would then put aside their hell-warm "cappuccino/croissant" and call the waiter to order the marvelous refreshing combination of granita and Sicilian brioche with "tuppo." (what is the tuppo? look at the photos).

At Seligo pop-up cafe', we'll ensure you have this unique/tasty experience skipping the mistake of ordering a cappuccino/croissant first. We'll beat together the scorching July sun while you'll feel like you are teleported to an authentic Sicilian bar/cafe' by the mediterranean sea (maybe not really like that, we can't make miracles!! :) ).
