How it all Started
The chocolate we make in Modica is one-of-a-kind. It is still made according to an ancient tradition brought to Modica in the 16th century from South America. When we say that we Sicilians, love to stick with traditions we mean it!

Elvira is our amazing chocolate maker, the genius behind this product. She is a master of the traditional techniques & a champion of passion & honesty.
As it is said, the best things in life happen by chance and from the moment we walked into her charming pastry shop, we knew that our mission was to share her incredible chocolate with the world.
Why our chocolate is different and not just another chocolate?
ONLY 3 NATURAL INGREDIENTS
No additional fats, dairy, or emulsifiers.
UNIQUE COLD PROCESS
We keep temperatures below a certain threshold to preserve distinctive flavors, nutrients and give a unique coarse texture.
WE DO NOT CONCH
We proudly skip the conching process, which can last up to 6 days and can heat the chocolate up to 230°F. The result is a bar of ultrarefined chocolate that looks shiny and silky, but which has lost a lot of important nutrients that make chocolate a superfood rich in antioxidants.
HOW WE MAKE
This unrefined chocolate is not a mere indulgence. It may induce beneficial effects for your body & mind. Cacao beans are rich in flavanols which are amazing antioxidants & alkaloids that can actively induce positive changes in your mood.

BEAN TO CUBE
We carefully Select, Roast & Grind the best premiere Cru of Cacao Beans. Then, we minimally process them into pure & unrefined chocolate CUBES recognizable for their unique traditional crunchy texture & bold flavor.
Beyond that, sticking with an artisanal process allows us to keep our chocolate natural & healthier.
